NextAce Named Winner of Entretec/PricewaterhouseCoopers
Third Annual Entrepreneurship Award
Anaheim Hills, Calif. – March 29, 2006 – Entretec (www.pasadenaentretec.com), a leading strategic partnering and corporate development organization serving Greater Los Angeles, named NextAceSM (www.nextace.com) the winner of its third annual Entrepreneurship Award 2006. Offered in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world’s largest professional services organization, the Entrepreneurship Award celebrates the entrepreneurial vigor and business achievements of technology companies based in Los Angeles and Orange County.
NextAce, a provider of automated software applications that benefit the title insurance and mortgage lender industries, achieves today what many in the real estate and title industries thought was a mere dream — the ability to drive title costs down through software automation and smart market partnerships. In essence, NextAce holds the unique advantage of being a vertically positioned small business effectively responding to an increasing requirement for better production, faster delivery of title products, and better electronic connectivity between the lender, the escrow company, and the title branch. The technology ultimately improves the delivery of title reports and commitments from a current average of 48 hours, to as little as 15 minutes while reducing costs for the title companies by up to 70 percent.
NextAce was honored at an awards dinner on March 21, on the Caltech campus, where Walter Mossberg, creator and writer of the “Personal Technology” column for The Wall Street Journal, addressed more than 180 technology leaders and venture capitalists.
The purpose of the Entrepreneurship Award is to honor growing, leading-edge companies symbolizing the best in entrepreneurial spirit and skills. It also acknowledges the growing importance of the high tech industry in Los Angeles and Orange County, and its contribution to the economic wealth of the overall region.
“It was extremely difficult to select a winner out of this talented group of applicants,” said Stephanie C. Yanchinski, executive director of Entretec. “NextAce received the award based on clear evidence of product acceptance in the marketplace, and for the company’s potential for significant increases in revenue and profitability.”
“We are honored to receive the Entrepreneurship Award and truly appreciate Entretec’s continued support of emerging technology companies,” said Don Cantral, CEO of NextAce. “Winning the award validates our concept and plan for execution.”
“The Entrepreneur Awards Program has grown tremendously since its inception three years ago,” said Louise Wannier, Chairman of the Entrepreneurship Award Advisory Board . “The Program continues to attract an amazing group of applicants, as well as recognition from the VC and technology communities throughout California.”
